En septembre 1987, Roy Orbison célèbre son retour avec "Black and White Night". Le concert a été enregistré en direct à Los Angeles. Outre Orbison, des légendes de la musique comme Jackson Browne, T Bone Burnett, Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen et Tom Waits se sont produits sur scène. Une soirée rock'n'roll unique, filmée en noir et blanc.
